Account Manager


The Account Manager is responsible for managing an array of accounts as well as provide service to customers within defined territories through the process of buying scrap circuit boards and other commodities.  This position is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.

Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned and management retains the discretion to add, delete, or change the duties at any time).

  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance

  • Researches, develops and solicits new business, as required, and maintains current customer base.
  • Provides excellent customer service to ensure strong customer relations and customer retention
  • Conducts waste stream audits, expands recycling programs and provides in-house training for customers upon request
  • Quotes bids and negotiates contracts as directed, by the V.P. to include the drafting of proposals
  • Represents the company at business and/or trade meetings, as required
  • Regularly required to meet with customers in a face to face environment on and off-site
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time


  • Required Education and Experience
  • Two years related experience purchasing circuit boards
  • Must be well-versed in board grading and able to identify and price boards based on pictures from clients
  • Proven track record of successful business development. Ability to create and expand upon existing contacts if warranted.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to think through various possible options/scenarios to find viable solutions to problems.
  • Knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Ability to grade various e-scrap commodities and accurately assess values
