Machine Operator - 2nd Shift



The Machine Operator is responsible for cutting, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products.


  • Maintain a safe work environment to make certain OSHA safety rules and regulations are followed
  • Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station
  • Mark materials with identifying information
  • Retrieves material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Perform data entry using a computer

  • 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D


  • Fork-lift experience preferred or ability to become certified in fork-lift operation
  • Ability to read tape measure and calipers
  • Ability to comprehend decimals and fractions
  • Familiar with use of a computer
  • Physical Demands
  • Remain in a stationary or standing position for length of shift
  • Lift, move, and position materials weighing up to 50lbs
