Material Handler

A day in the life of a Material Handler (essential functions):

  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Exhibits behaviors that reflect the company core values: Teamwork, Integrity, Tenacity, Compassion & Diversity
  • Ensures work area is kept free of debris and material which includes but is not limited to sweeping and shoveling material into a 4 foot high container
  • Ensures inventory is properly tagged according to work instruction guidelines
  • Operates warehouse equipment including but not limited to forklift, skid steer, semi-tractor, roll-off truck, switch tractor and trailer dumper to transport material
  • Operates warehouse equipment including but not limited to band saw, shaker table, wire stripper, bailer, cutting torch, x-ray analyzer and mini shears to process material
  • Maintains a safe work environment and ensures all OSHA regulation and Company policies are followed at all times
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to obtain a fork lift license
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos including safety rules, work instructions and procedures
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Routinely work independently and adapt to frequent delays and unexpected events
  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond to employees with respect and consideration in a loud, fast-paced environment

To get your foot in the door:

  • 1-2 years of previous related experience preferred
  • Previous skid steer loaders experience required
