The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. Document quality results in quality log and reports.
Conduct floor inspection of fabricated parts.
Conduct first article inspections and PPAP.
Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, and calling for needed repairs.
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures, and complying with MIOSHA regulations.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, and reading job related technical publications.
Follow ISO quality procedures.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
5 years of experience in quality inspection.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to interpret and analyze technical procedures and form general conclusions or rules.
Ability to effectively report research results, present information, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to document activities and ideas in writing so others will understand.
Ability to identify opportunities to improve the quality control process.
Familiar with CAD and quality engineering.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
